Tasting Notes
The B.R. Cohn Quintet is a blend of five classic Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. On the nose, it is rich and aromatic, with notes of plum, and blackberry, followed by hints of vanilla and cedar from the oak aging. Full-bodied and velvety on the palate, with a initial flavors of black fruit complemented by more savory notes of herbs and spices, as well as a touch of earth. As the wine continues to breathe, the flavors become more pronounced, revealing layers of complexity and nuance.
Winemaker Notes
Much like its history in Bordeaux we have grown found of these five varietals working in harmony to create a wine that is greater than it individual parts, all the while paying homage to our vineyard in Sonoma Valley. The Quintet can be enjoyed now or cellared for further aging, with a potential to evolve and develop even more complexity over time.
